Overview
XESO is a personal knowledge tool. Users ingest content they have the right to store and annotate; XESO itself does not host a public library of other people's work. Nevertheless, we respond to credible copyright complaints promptly and in good faith under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and comparable frameworks in other jurisdictions. How to file a DMCA notice
If you are a rights-holder (or authorised agent) and believe content available through XESO infringes your copyright, email the notice below to dmca@xeso.ai. Include:
• Identification of the copyrighted work (or a representative list, if many).
• The URL where the infringing material appears (for public-share pages this is the /a/<token> URL).
• Your contact information: name, postal address, email, and phone number.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights-holder.
• Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices slow us down; please supply all six items. What we do
On receipt of a valid notice we:
1. Remove or disable access to the identified material expeditiously.
2. Notify the uploading user (where the content originated in a private library, the affected user is notified without disclosing the complainant's identity beyond what the notice itself made public).
3. Keep a record of the complaint for our transparency log.
Repeat infringers have their accounts terminated.Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address. Include:
• Identification of the material and its prior location.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, address, phone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which XESO may be found).
• Your physical or electronic signature.
If the counter-notice meets the requirements, we forward it to the complainant and may restore the material after 10 business days unless they file an action seeking a court order.Designated agent
