Roadmap

We publish what we are not building so expectations stay honest. The detailed execution ledger lives in our internal release notes and engineering docs; this page separates what is available, what is planned, and what is out of scope.

Current focus

Make the personal source-to-cited-answer workflow more dependable: supported imports, inspectable evidence, clear scope, and reliable export. See release notes for what has already landed.

Planned: gated, not available

These are approved directions. A roadmap label is not a shipping claim; each item stays absent until its named product and evidence gates pass.
  • Native Work and evidence-linked TasksPlanned. Release requires the Work migration, Space authorization, accessibility, scale, and production evidence gates.
  • Team design-partner pilotPilot recruiting. Delivery is contingent. Applying is nonbinding and delivery starts only after the Trust Gate and pilot package are approved.
  • Projects and recurring BriefingsPlanned. Each ships only after its own scope, authorization, usefulness, failure, and cost gates pass.
  • Canvas as an optional projectionPlanned. Canvas will project the same authorized knowledge and Tasks; it will not create a second source of truth.

Not in current scope

These are deliberate boundaries, not forgotten requests.
  • Autonomous actions without human approvalXESO may draft and propose. Consequential changes require explicit authority and a receipt.
  • Real-time multi-cursor collaborationFocused comments, ownership, handoffs, and review come before multiplayer editing.
  • Community forums / social feedsNot our lane; we optimize for private libraries and focused writing.
  • A general workflow or agent marketplaceA small set of governed workflows comes before an open marketplace or plugin economy.
  • Native Windows / macOS / Linux desktop appsThe responsive web app and installable web experience come first; packaged shells are secondary.
  • AI voice chatPaused until voice infra and ambient privacy models are production-grade.
